Dear all,

You come recommended by a chap in another group.

I'm looking for a sublimely comfortable and springy pair of fairly plain,
black shoes or boots suitable for work. Not office work, as such, but I do a
lot of walking and get very painful feet and heels after a while thanks to
arthritis so I'd like to maximise my comfort in an effort to minimise
analgesia and anti-inflammatory intake.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

As one who's had hips and knees done, I find these suede slip on shoes very
comfy.

And they're half price at the moment. I've got four pairs of them

Thanks for that link (even though it wasn't meant for me!).  There are some
nice summer clog type shoes which look ideal as house slippers, plus a few
other pairs which look worth a closer look.

Thank you, Splodge. Not quite my thing, but the thought was appreciated.

Hi Mungo!

I would very much recommend Hotter shoes.  They do ladies, mens and a nice
range of walking boots.  I used to wear Ecco until I discovered them (at the
recommendation of my podiatrist), and have had a half a dozen plus pairs of
them now.  They are helpful and easy to deal with.

Good luck with your search - they did my feet the power of good.

Thanks, Jayne. My wife has a pair of Hotter boots and says they're really
comfortable and light so I'm off to their website.
