to get this GP to put on my medical records that I have sero negative
rheumatoid arthritis. Finally!

Although I've asked not to be sent to the rheumatologist until I move
surgeries as they would only send me to the one who thinks I'm imagining it
all.

Although, he may have a problem denying it now as my right little finger has
started to 'swan-neck' all others are swollen but bendable. Also I have 1
knuckle that is red and swollen all the time, it also hurts like a wotsit if
I bang it.  Seems my feet have taken the ump, and decided to swell over
night causing cramp in the mornings when I try to stretch my toes.

Still, could be worse, and like I said last time, at least its on the
records for all to see now.

I guess you'll feel real now :-)
I know what it is to have medics say it's not right but not know what to do
about it.
Now with your head telling you it really *is* something it won't be nearly
as troublesome!

What you doing in here?

Well, at least I know I'm not a hypochondriac (sp?) Just waiting to be
registered at your surgery now so I can be referred to a diferent
rheumatologist for preventative measures.

brilliant (in a measured sort of way).

does he reckon you're imagining the visible symptoms, too?

i had a rather extended period of both of those symptoms -- i really
feel for you.

i had a blessed (though brief) conference back then, when the
conference hotel had a outdoors hot tub.  i staggered down to the tub
each morning in swimming trunks, and it offered *real* relief.

the swan fingers are now a thing of the past.  i don't remember which
dmard it was that cleared them up (i've had so many), but it was one
of them.

move.  (glad it's not me moving...)

Yup. :-)

Well as he'd never seen me before I would love to know how he thought I
looked before. The swelling in my feet is water retention and the stiffness
everywhere else is just me being lazy I reckon!

Thanks, at least I now know how to stop my feet from being particularly bad
in the mornings. It involves never going out and standing around in the
cold. Which is a shame cos I manage a kids football team and I have to do
that at least twice a week. Time to bite the bullet and spend mega bucks on
themal socks and decent boots I think.

I think it may help if I take the anti inflammatorys regularly, I keep
forgetting doses in the middle of the day unless I'm actually doing
something that hurts.

Happens more after footy, just need to keep my feet warmer.

Yup, I thank whoever for that every day after I get moving. ;-)

Thanks, and we've already moved house early December. With the help of a
brilliant removals company and the kids and hubby I didn't need to do much
so I managed to get through the first couple of days with not very much pain
at all. Its the GP thats being changed now to a more local one.
