Hi Everyone,

sorry I havent posted sooner just got my computer back today.

Went in for the treatment on Tuesday, but I have developed an absess on my
gum after a filling coming out so couldnt receive the treatment until its
sorted.
But I did find out a lot more about the treatment. It is a chemotherapy
drug, the first day you go in you get hooked up to a drip, through this drip
you have steroids, anti sickness and another drug, didnt catch the name of
it, this lasts about four hours, the next day you get steroid and rituximab
through the drip for about two hours and you should be able to go home later
that day. Two weeks later the whole thing is repeated but all in one day.
Before that you are asked a lot of questions about your health and then a
doctor examines you. they were very thorough, I think they have to be, any
sign of infection and you are not allowed to go through with it as the
infection can go out of control. Hope this helps anyone going to have it in
the future.

Hi Bernie, disappointing not being able to start on the new  drug, never
mind next time, hope all goes well for you. I'm probably going onto
rituximab when i'm re-admitted to hospital on the 8th may so thanks for an
insight as to what to expect.
