or should that be Frolic acid :))
If you get these on prescription they come in mg's, if you buy them
in a health shop they come in ug's. (I know its not a u but I don't
have the funny sign on my  key board). What is the equivalent to what?

Maybe it is micro-grams - as opposed to milli-grams? Micro is a u with
a long decending line from the left side - bit like a lower-case p
with the top cut off :o)

If my memory serves me right milli is 0.001 of a gram ... and micro
would be 0.000001 of a gram ... perhaps... anyone?

I know I went to mum's once and forgot to take the frolic acid with me.  I
went to the pharmacist and asked how much over the counter stuff I'd have to
take to make the 5mg and from memory it was around about 12 tablets!

Yep. Micrograms. decimal points look OK as well.

Ahh, my physics teacher would be proud of me - after all the
intervening years! ;o)

:) the tablets I have are 400ug, so how many do I take instead of a 5
mg tablet?

With 1000ugs in 1mg - i'd say ... 2.5x 400ug tablets = 1mg   :o)
(but if in any doubt check with your doctor)

Very wise ... although it would look rather 'dramatic' for people to
see you shovelling in 12 tablets every time - it would get a bit
expensive in the long term ;o)

In any case, i am assuming you have a prescription prepayment
certificate (PPC)? They save me a small fortune, so i get absolutely
everything i can on prescription. One year i even managed to get
Malaria tablets on the NHS!! :oD

Ohhhhhh no no no - this was in the days when i went galavanting around
South America. At the time they started muttering about how it was a
holiday thing and I had to buy the drugs privately - then I pointed
out that if I came back with Malaria it would be the NHS that had to
pick up the pieces anyway... and they changed their tune.

Cheers
