Did my first injection last night of the above.

You mix it the same as the twice a week jabs, and I didn't notice any
difference in how the injection felt.

Will post an update and lets see if it makes any difference in how I feel by
the end of the week.  Rheumatology dept is recommending taking the Enbrel
same day as the mtx.

Jayne.

Mine is due next Tuesday.

By the way, have you read the comments on
http://remedyfind.com/rm-676-Enbrel.asp.

Quite an eye opener if you wade thro them all.

Did my first 50 mg yesterday. Noticed no difference in the injection
site.

I did notice that there seemed to be very small bubbles of air in the
syringe, which took some time to rise. Maybe this is something to watch
for.

I noticed that it had a tendency to froth more, but I have been getting a
bit off hand about mixing lately, so perhaps I'll be more careful.  When
mine goes frothy, I stand it in a glass and let it settle in the fridge for
a couple of hours.

I did my first jab last week , didn't notice any difference. . The
solution of the water and enbrel is till the same. I'm taking the MTX
once a week but not at the same time.
Its nice to do only one jab instead of two.

One little known side effect of once a week enbrel, was that some
patients' mainly female and from London tend to leave the letter "s"
off of the word "still" without realising they are doing it!
A spokesperson for the British Rheumatology and Spelling Society
[Brass] said the usual cure was to post abuse and insults about "Andy"
to UPSA, as he was only joking really Alison and you know I 'till love
you really.......

Nice isn't it?  It is really handy if you are going away for say a long
weekend not to have to faff on transporting the stuff.

Meant to add to my post that I was a bit confused.  I've read reports on ASA
that their once a week injections are pre-mixed and there is something in it
(preservative?) that makes them sting.

When they offered me once a week injections it was the first thing I asked,
but they assured me it wasn't pre-mixed.

Mine is pre-mixed in the USA but you get yours from a different producer and
you have to mix it.   No big deal.  Yes, it is the preservative that makes
it sting which means that it bothers some people more than others.   If I
take it easy or do it slowly,  it does not bother me much.   So it goes.

You're right about not rushing - if I do mine in a rush I always regret it!
Its not often these days that I leave a bruise, but I can guarantee if I
rush I do!

The worst Enbrel jab I had was when I let my mum do it for me - she's been a
nurse for her whole working life and she did the injection just like
chucking a dart!  Never again.

LOLOL  Mum is used to doing the flu shots and stuff like that,,,,,,,,  I got
a hundred steroid shot one day at the doctors office one day and begged the
nurse to do a 50 in each side which she did.   Much better that way because
its kind of a big shot.... LOL chucking a dart LOL.

TATB in the RAF (national service) was reputed to be given in the arm
thro the sleeve of your shirt. It wasn't, but it laid the whole billet
out the next day with a reaction to it.
