Jayne so sorry you are feeling so rough, and janet NSAIDS wow that seems a
dirty word or words rather here in Southend i just know I am not coping at
all well on just co-codamol and ibuprofen in fact it stinks but as you know
from an earlier post I am up for an Urgent med review---in May!!!!!
Anyway the real reason I am here is to say thanks Jayne took your advice and
rang social services re home assessment after the fourth transfer I got a
kind of result after explaining new circumstances they are going to look
into my case and ring back. So fingers crossed.
My next problem is work everyone is being great all doing the stuff I cannot
do now even the practice manager is picking me up in the mornings but then I
have to come home with her or the nurse and it means doing 6 or more hours I
am totally knackered and don't want to do anything else when i'm home I feel
I need to go sick but they are all being so helpful I feel bad doing it
thanks for listening (again)

Glad to see you've got your home assessment - don't forget to tell them your
"worst case scenario", will you? I hope you start feeling better really
soon. Thinking of you.

I can't tell you how pleased I am that a suggestion of mine came through!
So pleased for you - I am a big believer that "those that shout loudest get
most", so don't you go being all stiff upper lip.  You answer any questions
with a "worst case scenario" answer.

Good luck to you.

Seems things might be looking up, actually got my blue badge approval this
morning,  applied in October would you believe It seems my GP lost his part
of the form twice!!!! boy was I mad, in the end I sat there till he filled
it in and posted it myself.  Thanks again for the idea Jayne.  Gotta make DH
coffee now having a new arthritis friendly kitchen, it is taking him forever
though, he does a lot of Victor Meldrew while he is diy'ing

That's good news about the blue badge, Hev.
I don't suppose you heard the Jeremy Vine R2 prog this week when he was
reporting on the volume of badges that get stolen from car windscreens,
usually after a brick has been thrown through it! And apparently they are on
sale on the Internet for £1,000 - amazing. In London, people who need to
have their blue badge on show every night are experiencing great problems,
with repeated thefts of the badge.
I couldn't do without mine now as my walking has deteriorated such a lot.
