are these modified release tramadol, or the full whack ones?
they gave me the full whack when i was in hospital, but otherwise i've
not used them at all. i've been told by my doctor to adjust my dose
as needed. i had got it down to 2x50 in the morning 1x50 at night,
and then this winter came along. i'm currently using 3+2, and codeine
only when i really can't cope otherwise. (i'm still using celebrex,
and my dmard is azathioprine (sp?))
of course, i don't do this complicated "driving" stuff: i cycle to
work, which on the flat roads of cambridge is mostly pretty easy.

Full whack 50mg tramadol hydrochloride. Don't get me wrong, I don't take
them every day, most days I just take codeine during the day and DF118 at
night. When I sat down with my doctor and asked if, when I take the
tramadol on the worse days, do I drop the codeine, and he said no, but don't
take the full whack 60mg dose of codeine. I only take the tramadol when it
gets horrible. It suits me fine though (I have never had an adverse
reaction to a painkiller so I'm lucky) and takes the edge off. Wish there
was a pill to take it away totally, and leave you clearheaded.

When i was in hospital a few years back, everyone swore by Tramadol. I
actually am prescribed Meptid (Meptazinol) and find these very good for the
pain. Once tried Tylex(?) Capsules but they gave me scary palpitations.
