I saw the Dr this morning and was told I have gall stones. They can't do
very much about them until I get my weight down. She also said that once
I'm slimmer they can start to think about knee surgery for me, leading
up to a replacement. Two big reasons to work on getting the girth down.
And my knee is much better. I've been able to take the dog out every day
since Thursday - though I don't think it's up to weights yet. Still, I
might try tomorrow.
She also said they are taking me off Celebrex and will try me on Mobic
(? sp). Anyone know anything about this drug?
Cheers for now,
Dave

Jayne for one, Alan Fisher for 2 and the bit I know is: It's not a cox
1&2 nsaid it's not quite a cox 2 nsaid it's a sort of cox one and a
half nsaid (if that makes sense) and it seems to be the nsaid of
choice currently for GPs changing folk from cox 2 following the
vioxx/celebrex/naproxen[this being cox 1&2 but tarred with the same
brush] announcements.
Good luck with your healthy eating plan, we could all post messages of
support, it seems to have worked for Andy Fordham the darts player on
TV fit club he thanked everyone for email messages of support. He's
probably not heard of spam, busy with, get that double out Viking.

I've been taking Mobic for a few years Dave, and it suits me very well.
Nice and easy too with just one tablet a day.
