Not the normal sort of nostalgia post though.  Isn't it funny how a taste of
something can transport you right back to a time and/or place?

We had a curry tonight, and I had a lager and lime with it.  I've drunk
lager occasionally, but haven't had lager and lime in decades.  It took me
right back to being 17 and 18 again, when it was all I would drink and was
in lurve for the first time!

Anyone else get any weird associations with taste?

A gin and orange would take me back to the 60s and 70s, but nowadays I'm
inclined to prefer drinks which involve a little more fluid content. It
always seemed to me that my gin and oranges only lasted about 60
seconds!!!

LOL Janet - I'm with you there.  I prefer a longer, diluted drink, as when I
drink neat drinks, or wine, I drink them too fast with bad consequences.

A woman I could fall in love with - whisky diluted with whisky - and
with just a smidgeon of water  :-))

SWAMBO drinks her whisky diluted with concentrated orange - she
thinks its nice!

That is one thing I don't like diluted though - I like my whisky (single
malt) neat, no ice!
