I have read alot here about tinnitus and neck pain, I have been told I have
osteophytes which are connecting with my spinal cord and i also have a
bulging disc in my neck, the Drs say none of these are related to my
tinnitus, what does everyone else think?

I think you may be right Jenny.
I have had chronic neck pain and tinnitus for about the same
amount of time. My osetopath said he had experienced the
same symptoms before in some patients. Of course, my GP
and doctors at the hospital are not convinced. My tinnitus is
a lot more worse when my neck pain is bad.
I also have a bluging disc in my neck. Apparently this is quite
common !

I don't know exactly what kind of neck pain you have but try this, use
your thumb and trace your collar bone from you shoulder until it meets
your sternum(breastbone). Place your thumb on the underside of your
collar bone in the hollow where it meets your sternum and mash like
hell and squiggle your thumb all around until you find the most tender
spot. After you have located that spot mash on it daily for weeks or
maybe months until you become somewhat of a masochist. This will help
release the largest muscle that in your neck, the SCM, the
sterno-cledio-mastiod (sp) and help relieve your neck pain. The muscle
attaches at the point I described.
Cheers,
Rich

Definitely.
Tinnitus is a pain in the neck

In some persons it is not the disc or the osteophyte that may be the cuase, but
the resultant muscle spasms of the back of the neck.

There is a direct connection between neck muscle tension and tinnitus
tho it is very hard to say whether or not it is a cause and effect
relationship.
I read somewhere that neck muscle tension could affect the secretion
of inner ear fluid.
