Hi Dave,
They all help as far as I'm concerned. The enemy is inflammation and
the vitamins are anti-oxidants which basically means they are
anti-inflammatories. When I say vitamins I don't just mean vitamins..I
mean other anti-inflammatories like fish oil, ginger..I'm basically
taking many pills and oils that are known to have anti-inflammatory
effects. I have posted the list in this NG before so do a google
search in here for my email addy and look for the post titled
RE:Inflammation and Tinnitus.
I have a whole system of inflammation going on that I have been
battling and winning for about 3 years. Some of the areas it involves
is the skin on my face throat, neck, upper chest, outer
ears..including ear canals..and really bad on my lips..also my tongue.
The visible outward apperance of my problem is permanently red or
pinkish skin areas..like my upper chest..many skin areas appear normal
but aren't. A whiteish candia like coating on my tongue..history of
ear infections.
It appears to me that the areas exposed to ultraviolet rays..and my
years of being a cigarette smoker have mutated a network of skin and
oral tissue including my outer ear.
I'm using Efudex (5% flurorouracil and Solaraze ( 3% Diclofenac
Sodium) to gradually kill off the damaged mutated tissue. I'm using
all the vitamins to lower the inflammation level as Im killing off the
mutated tissue.
I have about 40 graphic photos of some of the stages of treatment
I've endured..and I have been through several doctors..none of which
was fully supportive of my treatment..except for my current family
doctor who has seen me from the start and once said he was going to
drop me as a patient. He is now a believer aftew seeing that my
treatment is working.
I had EXTREMELY bad tinnitus ..3 layers of ringing in my right ear
alone. The woman next door who doesn't smoke also has tinnitus..and
she is fair haired and fair skinned and I can see the red signs of
inflammation on the skin of her cheeks. I think after medical science
wakes up and smells the coffee years from now they will acknowledge
that inflammation and tinnitus go hand in hand.
If you want to find out what your personal inflammation level is try
this blood test:
http://www.drsears.com/drsearspages/bloodtestserv.jsp

I'll probably repost in late August after my ENT checks me again.
Cheers,
Rich
