Just a quick howdy to a lot of old friends. It's been exactly one year
since I turned off the tinnitus world - I folded the support group and
unscubscribed from AST. Doing so has given me a lot of spare time to
pursue quieter hobbies like getting back to playing my banjo etc.
I must admit, when people call me, it makes me feel kinda crappy when
I tell them the support group is no longer exists. Then again, not
having to think about tinnitus every day has been pretty cool
experience. A few of the calls I did answer and unfortunately, it
sounds like nothing much has changed in this area. It seems the "learn
to live with its" still rule in this part of the world - sigh :(
Tonight while glancing through a bunch of recent posts I was proud to
see a bunch of familiar names offering awesomely inspiring and
supportive advice. You know who you are - take a bow!
To the newcomers on this newsgroup: as hard as it may be to believe or
to accept for you this very day: there really is a tunnel and there
really is a bright shining light at the end of it. No ifs or buts
about it, someday you too will be there.
Here's to it be sooner than later,
Bart.

Hi Bart (a great guy),
Nice to hear from you. I know that you're probably not going to
see this, reading as how you've gotten a life and all ;-p
But do you find that being away from tinnitus groups, newsgroups,
issues, et all.... makes for quieter and fewer tinnitus noise days?
I know I do.
Very Best Regards,
Bruce
