I haven't posted for a while, but I started having bleeding sinuses a
few days ago.  Then I had a feeling of uncomfortable fullness in my
right ear today and was told the pollen count was very high for the
first time all year.  Then I finally sneezed and my sinuses seemed to
clear and the fullness went away.  I suspect I'm allergic to oak
pollen, and I used to jog and my ears would fill with liquid in the
summer and take about an hour to go back to normal.  Sounds like
eustachian tube, right?

Tonight the T is worse than it's been since--yes--this same time last
year, when I was posting asking for help.  The ringing is like a
high-pitched squeal (I had whooshing noises the night before my period
a lot at ages 38-40 and occasionally after that associated with the
start of my period--sounded like blood flow).

I'm curious if it's common for people with sinus and/or allergies to
have T compared to the general population?  The studies I've found
don't even mention ovulation or menopause, and rarely sinus/allergies,
and yet it seems pretty obvious that both of these situations may be
correlated with T for a significant number of people.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Well, I have had tinnitus in various forms over the years.
I don't know if I have allergies but I find that my tinnitus is definitevely
worst during spring and maybe fall as well.
I suspect it is related to allergies.
As for pulsatile tinnitus (hearing blood/heart through in the ears at nigh
especially) I also have that but I find that it's gotten worst this winter.
You wonder if it may be related to your periods right?
I may shed some light on this for you as I've been doing some research on
this myself.
I went to the doctor to get a pap smear and was told that I was severly
anemic and that I had a large fibroid tumor in my uterus.  I loose a lot of
blood each month during my period because of it.
Lately, I found that I could not only hear the blood rushing through my ears
but also feel it.  I complained to the doctor about this and she sent me to
ENT.
After this, I searched for anemia symptoms and there it was: pulsatile
tinnitus.
I suggest you do the same...but to save you some time here's what I found
out if you are interrested.
Anemia symptoms:
pulsatile tinnitus
restless legs syndrom
rapid heart rate, out of breath easily
pica = the desire to eat unually crunchy stuff....for me I wanted to eat
nuts and ice just for the crunchiness.
paleness of skin, lips and nail bed.
frontal headaches.
I had all of these symptoms.

Get your iron checked, I feel much better since taking supplements.
Don't just get supplements, get checked.

I'm starting to think that people who have various issues are the best
ones to do the research, because they may see patterns before others
even think to look for them.

Hmmm...I'm so pale I wouldn't know if I was even more pale!!!  I'll
get checked!

Thanks for the starting point for what to check!
