It is impossible to say, really. A lot of people have experienced
ringing in their ears for up to several weeks, before it suddenly
disappeared again. I'd wait a few weeks if I were you, to see if it
disappears by itself, which it might very well do.
My first T actually disappeared within two weeks. It was the result of
loud music. I was foolish enough to go to another place with loud
music after it had disappeared after the first time, and it returned
again, and now it's been there for several months.
But yours might well go away - you'll just have to wait and see.
Do you know why the ringing started?

Not for sure.
Saw my doctor today who has referred me to ENT specialist. As this is
the UK I may have to wait some time for an appointment. I do have some
heavyiness in the ear as if it is full of wax(it isn't), so she thinks
it could be fluid behind the ear drum following a cold. I had a cold
on Christmas day and tne noises started New Years day.
It seems to start off quiet some days and increases during the day.
