Hi
Has anybody's T been improved with high-frequency hearing aids or is it a
waste of $4000-$5000? Please let me know either way. I'm going insane and
it's been 2 1/2 years.
thanks

Hey Cory,

I recently got a hearing aid for one ear. My hearing loss is all high end,
in fact it is pretty normal in the middle ranges and falls like a waterfall
at about 4000 Hz and up and only on one side.

I do not know if you are in the USA or live elsewhere but I know I paid
$1700 for my unit and it pretty much does everything but dishes (it is not a
masker however) My "T" is much more noticeable when I do not have it in
(like now, fresh out of the shower) but I would look around a bit before
plunking down the dough as the price you mentioned seems a tad high too.

Further I do not really see why you could not do one ear then the other if
it helps in one. I know there is some kind of law (others here I am sure can
answer this) where, if in the first 30 days (I think) you don't like them
they must allow you to return them. This is assuming you live in the USA. I
do not know very much about other countries in this regard.

Good luck

Robin
