Anyone heard of this, saw an ad in Popular Science.  The website is
www.quietrelief.com.

What do you have to lose except a few bucks and maybe your tinnitus, even if
it has only placebo effects?

Find out and try it.

Be prepared for a whole lot of negative responses from the whiny (placebo
wreckers) crowd, here.  I think they want some company in their misery  LOL

Best of luck and let people know so they can call you a fool if it works.

If millions of fools, like yourself, spent a few bucks on these
quackery cures it will make them rich and can close up.  Deed done!
Your money pocketed.

And don't listen to jackarse's who say, "what do you have to lose
except for a few bucks".  Try it! It "might" work.  Yeah right!
hahahohohohohehehe

Some are stupid enough to repost the spammer's product name and web site
in their replies.

They're not reposted, they're quoted in the original message.  Some
stupid people don't know this.

I'm sure it's total crap like all the other fake questioner's products
we've seen here over the years.

Save your money.

I was just curious, I agree with you there are many scams regrading
tinnitus. Are there any avenues you consider worth pursuing ?

Sure, first and foremost, a complete medical evaluation including both
infectious diseases and endocrine abnormalities well known to cause
tinnitus.

Second, dietary changes to lower insulin levels and excess calories have
been shown to reduce tinnitus.

Some anecdotal reports say Ginkgo biloba can help.  Some anecdotes say
acupuncture, though very few and no study results support this one.

TRT, relaxation, self hypnosis, white noise in the background, cognitive
behavioral therapy...

See an ENT doctor.  Don't listen to self-proclaimed T experts in
newsgroups like you see now.  When they're not playing with their
sockpuppet they troll the groups spewing their 'expert' opinions with
nothing to back them up

Manganese is reported by many professionals to alleviate mennieres disease
and tinnitus as a symptom. Apparently the course is a long one to see
results.

Prepare for the "nay sayers" some more. They have frightened most of the
regulars away, here. I think they are trying to rack of suicide counts for a
contest between some of them.

Really?  Can you provide some citations to support that assertion?  I've
only ever heard it from a poster here who wasn't a reliable source of
information, but always interested to find new information.

Citations are the cure for skepticism.

There are no regulars here any more, only trolls, mostly.

After your flagrant display of immaturity here you want to get serious?

Your last post describes your behaviour quite adequately.

You're right on one thing Susan, trolls like you are mostly here with
all your medical knowledge.(self proclaimed)  Thanks for saving so
many lives.  Now put your sock back on your hand and talk to it.  Its
the only one that really listens to what you have to spew.
Bluto - 22 Oct 2009 17:15 GMT

I can't believe that moronic  pea brain still insults everybody here. Sounds
like Nagler with a better vocabulary.  LOL

I put that guy in my bozo bin about five years ago, it seems. Computer must
be getting old and time for a change.

Wow! Tinnitus sure makes for good trollfellows. Makes one wonder which came
first...the anxiety problem or the tinnitus?

Hey I heard the ad on the radio, called and asked what was in the product.
They could give me no information, went to the web site and see also no info.
Don't by a product that can't show you what your putting in your body. I know
of the ringing, I've got it kinda bad, all the time and so far for me there
is nothing. They are working on different things but not chemicals. I've
heard of tones to stimulate the earway. But beyond that I don't know. We have
to wait and quit falling for the old ploys that are out there. Some of these
vitamins may help some people who may have something affecting their hearing
but a doctor may see this.
