Dear Group, I am Leonard Tillman's (not his real name) probation officer. Tillman is a serial internet offender who has managed to remove his ankle bracelet and access Google Groups that are off-limits to him. He has been banned by Google numerous times for extreme obscenity and unprovoked stalking. Tillman writes with a particular zest for his subject matter. Newcomers are baffled at the dark impulse that drives him to post thousands of obscene messages to public forums. He assumes that the repugnant material which causes him to wallow in paroxisms of ecstatic delight is shared by the public at large; and if they do not share it there is something wrong with them. The fault is never his. Tillman suffers from malignant narcissism. To the Tillman mind it is perfectly natural to post pornographic material followed by smug avuncular leering post- scripts,expecting that normal people will join right in with good will and warm feelings toward him. "Oh, that's just Lennie being Lennie", he imagines them thinking. Tillman rejects suggestions that his obsessive preoccupation with the lower digestive tract and excrement are out of the ordinary. He regards feces as a "toy" that is pleasurable to play with, much like Silly-Putty, say; and he also sees it as food ("feca-pies"), projecting his love for it onto others. And the fantasy settings with elaborate detailed imagery that he constructs are scenes that run through his mind throughout his waking hours and, undoubtedly, throughout his dreams. They are his currency of discourse. And they are of a piece with his fantasies of parents sexually abusing their children. Please accept our deepest apologies for the failure of our security system which enabled him to break out of his confinement at rec.music.opera. We expect to have him back in custody shortly, at which time he will be subjected to Level II restraints, i.e., all of his phalanges will be duct-taped to his penis. Again, our regrets. I have made others aware of what Leonard is now doing at RMO, this is important because while I do not worry about LT, others, and all of the above information is true, do. He is actually the bully of the group, and if you stand up to him he will hurl abuse at you until you back down or leave the group. If you really make a principled stand against him, then he will follow you to other groups, even if it is a support group. He has no real shame. Hence the post from his 'Probation Officer'. Tillman may or may not be a psychopath, but he certainly has the narcissism that would propel a person into becoming one. Respond to half of the attacks that he makes upon you and he becomes the 'bunny boiler' from Google Groups. Nearly all his posts contain a scatological reference, hence this post written in his honour. Is there a man whose daily drool Is filled with words for human stool? You are the exception Francis, you know my objections to your style, so lets move on, suffice to say that I have repeatedly written that everyone should at least try GB at the onset of the condition, since it does not interfere with any other course of treatment. Tinnitus is such that it can be quite frightening and ultimately depressing, so there is quite a lot of incentive to be promiscuous with treatments. I would have no objection, and I have written to this effect, that if someone else wants to write about GB it would be more than acceptable. I have never screamed 'blue murder'. Unlike Tillman, whose posts are nearly always at the pitch of 'blue murder'. To be honest, I have written to ex-posters who have made a worthwhile contribution in the past and asked them to start posting again. This group lacks liquidity of posters. I know this group is not about me, it is not about any one single treatment, and at the moment it is dying on the vine. Leonard could possibly kill it off, right now that is my main concern. He is more than capable of out posting a whole group, even here where he does not even suffer from tinnitus. His only interest is attacking me, so his presence here is all about his wounded pride. I would never go to other groups where he posts to retaliate. But nothing is beneath him. He has a sort of festering madness. His attacks on others are really about himself.
