Approximately 2 years ago the ringing didn't stop for me.
So I went & had a hearing test - in a sound proof room the ringing is alot
more noticeable!!! My hearing results were that I had the hearing of a 45-50
year old (I was 31 at the time)
What I found interesting was that the guy who did my test was a similar age
to me (early 30's) & he said the following:
"...I had tinnitus & when I started taking potassium & reducing my caffeine
intake, after about 12 months the tinnitus stopped. I should know, as I work
in a sound proof room everyday...!"
So I got my doctor to prescribe potassium, but within a few days I forgot to
take the stuff & that was at least a year or so ago. My tinnitus isn't 'bad'
so I guess I haven't been 'forced to remember' to take the potassium.
Potassium can induce high blood pressure rather quickly, so originally my
doctor requested that I have a blood test a week after starting to take the
tablets.
Anyway what have you heard/read about the effects of potassium & have you
used it yourself?
Was it effective?

Potassium pretty reliably lowers blood pressure, actually.

Potassium is worthless for tinnitus.

My tinnitus responded to manganese supplementation.
I believe tinnitus is usually a sign of mineral unbalance in the
brain.
Talk to you doctor about minerals. He/she will know nothing about it
and tell you about their training in this field, a 15 second lecture
with these words "The most expensive urine you will ever have"
