Lake Swimming Healing Effect on My Tinnitus

Hi all,

I go swimming all the times in pools with no effect on my T.  However, when
I go swimming on this beach on a lake something strange happens when I wade
in the water about neck high.  Instead of a high piched while in my right
ear, I get this intermittent sound that sounds like grinding sand, and it
seems to come more like from the back of my neck.  But this grinding sound
is actually pleasant, and only comes on for short amounts of time.  I can
put my finger in my right ear and hear no high piched sound, and my T never
goes away.  This applies if I hear the grinding sound or not.  I have got it
the last 3 times I have gone to this lake swimming, and I think I have had
this grinding type sound at other lakes in the past, even before my T.  I
wonder if it is sinus related.  After I get out of the water for a while my
high piched T comes back.

It totally beats me what this is, but this effect is very real and I am
convinced it is not the placebo effect since I never go in expecting this
thing to happen.  Any explanations or ideas how I can isolate whatever this
thing is?  Even 30 seconds of total tinnitus relief is very encouraging to
me, since it gives me hope that there may be some way to eliminate/reduce my
T.

I think it is the mineral content in the water that causes it.

My ENT doctor here in China always recommends his tinnitus patients to
go for a vacation in a famous mineral spring.  Some even reported a
cure!!!

I forgot to mention the relaxation factor.  You might feel more
relaxed and your neck muscles become more relaxed while in the water.
