My ear is buzzing like a swarm of angry bees. I've had tinnitus for
about 5 years. Every summer it goes crazy. I think it gets worse due
to motorcycling and/or baseball games. I don't do much of either any
more, probably less than six times per summer, and I wear earplugs for
both, and a helmet on the bike too. I guess I have to sell the bike.
Maybe driving with the window down exacerbates it too, but I'm pretty
careful. Sometimes I think the earplugs somehow aggravate it! My right
ear has become particularly bad this summer. Maybe it's because
motorcycle mufflers are on the right, although I think the wind roar
above 30mph causes a lot of the problem. I've got a rather noisy bike:
a cruiser: stock Honda 750 Shadow. The strange thing is it's not that
loud compared to some of the bikes out there.
Well, by midwinter it seems to quiet down a bit (I hope!) or maybe I
just get used to the new level.

Well, if you know what exacerbates your T, you should do something
about it. But you may want to have it treated further---provided you
did not have it treated properly.

Move to Antarctica. Then all you'll hear is the wind blowing up
your arse, amidst your ear muffs.
