"You'll have to learn to live with it", is something that patients are
told from time to time by doctors who believe perhaps that effective
treatment doesn't exist or, having tried tablets or infusion therapy,
that all options have been exhausted.

The doctors referred to above reminds me of the American ENT doctors
mentioned by the American patients in ALT from time to time.

How did the hyperbaric and O2 infusions do for you? Did your tinnitus
disappear?

No, it did not disappear but it did cut down the volume.  By the time
when I went for this treatment, my T was already an old T.  But I do
know one person whose T was _completely_ cured after going for this
combination of treatment.  He went for this treatment AS SOON AS his T
was diagnosed by his ENT doctor(within a week).

Just imagine how many newbies are there who so unfortunately wandered
into ALT and missed the chance for a cure because they subscribed to
the habituation philosophy of the idiot doctors and patients who are
mostly Americans.

Easy there. There are some aspects of USanians that I do not like also
but that does not make them idiots. Many are very nieve and clodes
minded in the thr rest of the world but not idiots.

Habituation is a valid technique and better than crying for the rest
of the year. I paints hope.

Perhaps habituation means something I don't quite understand...

"Won't tinnitus or acute hearing loss get better without treatment?
Don't rely on it! There is widely divided opinion amongst experts as
to the probability of the condition healing or improving without
treatment. The president of the German Tinnitus League, Elke Kn?r,
believes that this probability is often overestimated."

I tend to subscribe more to the views of Elke Knor, the president of
the German Tinnitus League, than to Dr. Naglier, the president of ATA.

Make sure you get your facts straight before you start spreading them
on the internet.
Dr Nagler NOT been president of ATA for a long time.

He was at least ONCE......  That he was chosen to take up that post
reflects the medical mentality of the people that chose him.  It is
like choosing the president of a country.  Bush is not in the  White
House by mistake.  He was chosen by the people.

I thought he would be spending lots of time in prison by now.

Why? Dr. Naglier sounds like a perfectly decent fellow to me.  He can
be mistaken of course but I don't think he is wicked at all in any
sense.  Am I wrong about him?
