Just like in the cited studies, I gave melatonin a 30 day trial.
I don't generally have sleep troubles so I was not particularly
optimistic going in that it would help, but optimistic enough
to give it a full 30 day trial with an open mind.
No improvement.
I will now try gingko biloba for a couple months. I tried
it before but only for about a week before giving up.
I've put up with this crap for 11 years (my first experience
on this group was during the Captain Ron / Nagler debacle) ...
but it would be nice if it would stop getting worse and worse.
cheers

melatonin occurs in all mammal's brains every night, a hormone, secreted
by the pinneal gland in the middle of the brain in response to dimming
light(sun going down). If you take it and stare at a bright tv or
computer screen it may not work well. Light destroys melatonon. It was
regulated until about 10 years ago and I get an almost instant (5 min)
effect every time I take it. I have no idea what it may have to do with
T, however.
