Infusion treatment for tinnitus is very popular in China, according to
what I have seen, and in Europe, according to what I have read, but
does not seem to have been mentioned here in AST by the American
doctors. In places like Hong Kong and Vancouver, the ENT doctors I
visited were either unaware of such treatment for tinnitus or did not
think highly of it, let alone of recommending it.
I had my first infusion treatment about 6 months after my T started.
>From *some* doctors' view, my T was an old T and thus the use of
infusion treatment was not warranted, but from *other*
doctors' view, an old T can also be treated like a new T, albeit it
may take longer time to jump-start it.
I was prescribed for 12 days of intravenous infusion in a hospital in
a coastal city of China. I rused for this treatment after hearing the
story from a physician whose T, according to her, was cured after
infusion treatment. Her T was a new T, and she went for this type of
treatment only a few days after she had heard the noise in her ear.
Two types of solution were used: one was pharmacetical or chemical and
the other one herbal. I spent more than 2 hours each morning for the
infusion treatment. There was no reaction from my T until I went into
almost the 9th day of treatment. The volume of T sound was all of a
sudden cut down. I rounded up the treatment after the 11th day and it
was also the time when I managed to get rid of Ativan. The T sound
came back later on but to a lesser decibel.
Does infusion treatment work for tinnitus? Again, for some...yes and
for some...no.
