To a western medical doctor or doctors trained up in the western
medical discipline, a t sound represents a sound which the inner ear
is 'not supposed' to hear.  That is at least what my several ENT
doctors in Hong Kong, China and Vancouver of Canada told me.  Thus the
way to cope with a sound which the inner ear is hearing but one which
it is 'not supposed to' hear is to mask the sound, cover it up with
addictive drugs....and finally 'habituate' it.

To a TCM doctor or doctors brought up in the discipline of Traditional
Chinese Medicine, a t sound represents a signal sent out by the body
that somewhere in the body things are not working properly.

Last year, a lady friend of mine here in the coastal region of ZhuHai,
China detected a "low-pited, motor-like" sound.  The sound bothered
her sleep.  She went to see a TCM doctor and was asked by the doctor
to describe the sound.  Right away, the TCM doctor concluded the sound
signified a deficiency of Yan energy in her kidney, which might have
come about from prolonged physical fatique and emotional turmoil.  5
acupuncture treatments completely took care of her and she has been
enjoying complete silence in her ears ever since.  She was fortunate
that she went for treatment only the third day after the t had been
detected.  But I believe if she had wasted her time reading up on
controlled studies, covering it up with ativan, or learning to
habituate, her t would have flared up on her!

Those of you who are interested in being exposed to the other aspects
of the same piece of reality, knowing the world in which we live is
spherical in shape, can help yourself to the following:

Remember folks, Europeans need not discuss.

"..when the Chinese were building the Great Wall, tracking down the
comic, applying acupuncture and various herbs for medical treatments,
the WASPs used to live in the dark forests of Europe, drinking animal
bloods and dancing around camp fires with their bottoms naked... ",

Jim,

Are you in the business of discussion or the business of showing off
your bad habit which you might have inherited from your forefathers
who migrated to NA from the LOWEST social echelons in Africa?

And the Asians too...but not everyone of them migrated from the lowest
echelon which has produced the bad habit in them...You just happen to
be one of them.
