I stopped caffeine and nicotine for 24 hours and my tinnitus lowered by
about 20%.  I also felt like a zombie , almost in a coma , which was more
unacceptable than having the annoying ringing in my head.  Does anyone know
how to get rid of the Zombie like feeling while trying to quit caffeine and
nicotine?  Preferably something that won't increase the "T".  Thanks in
advance,           Jamffer

I am not sure if this is a forum to ask for ways to quit smoking.
That said, that stopping nicotine has improved on your T means your T,
in my opinion, has something to do with blood circulation.  Nicotine
constricts or narrows blood vessels.  You may want to talk to your
doctor about applying blood vessel dilating medicine for further
improvement of your T.  I would recommend a simple tablet of ginko
biloba daily to improve your head blood circulation.  It is non-
addictive and does away with many side-effects associated with
synthetic medication.

However, i think it is OK to have coffee.  You may want to try that
too.

When I quit smoking and drink coffee = no change.  When I quit coffee and
smoke = no change.  I need to stop both to notice any major difference.  I
still take Ginko every day even though it made no difference starting or
stopping it.  Occasions in the past when I took aspirin seemed to make no
change either.  I agree that it must be blood circulation related.  Perhaps
blood pressure ( which is very normal )  being lowered when caffeine and
nicotine are both stopped?
Thanks for the brainstorm,                      Jamffer

Can you alter the volume of your tinnitus sound when you stretch
forward your jaw?

Do you suffer from any nerve discomfort in the head?

Not the jaw , not the neck , not the back , not fixed by Ginkgo Biloba , not
fixed by sticking rolled towel under the neck , any loud noise makes it
louder especially long duration noise , like machine noise.  It was started
from loud noise damage at work , so doctor said that it's likely to be nerve
hair damage.  After almost eight years I've habituated fine.
Oh yea , you should switch your encoding to Western European so everyone can
read what you post.

By the way, how do you know that "everyone" cannot read what I post?
Have you done a survey of this "everyone"?

Kindly elaborate what you intend to say, please.
