Humming in Head

Hi -  I have a constant roar in my right ear - which is vascular so if I
turn my head in a certain position it will gradually stop.
In my left ear I occasionally get a loud ringing which is terribly annoying
but then it stops and goes away for days.

For the last two weeks the roaring stops and I get a humming sound that
seems to have taken over my head and ears.
Sometimes it lasts for an hour, sometimes for five to six hours.

Keeping track of what I eat I've noticed that after eating brocolli or nuts
it started up.  Does anyone have something like this happening to them also.
Thanks

You may be suffering from what is known as somatic tinnitus or
tinnitus caused by muscle tension in your spine/neck.  Are you using a
high pillow?  Try to lie flat for a while and see how it feels.

Hi - and thanks for your help.
I was good for about four days and then the humming started again - really
loud - right after I had a small chocolate candy mint.

Could this be a trigger thing. ?

I only had bananas, cereal, milk for breakfast.
I also took a pill for gastric reflux.

Thanks if you have any answers.....

The *only* way to find out is to stop taking chocolate for a while and
see what will happen.  The causes of T are so complex and what works
for one person may not work for another one.  In a way, you have to be
your own doctor.  Years ago i suffered from severe T and I suspected
the HB medication hydrochloridethiaze had something to do with it.  So
I asked around and got replies from even doctors.  None of them
thought it was possible.  I later took the initiative and moved to
other medication for my blood pressume, and the living hell stopped!
Thus if you suspect chocolate is the cause, then stop it for a while.
Perhaps chocolate is OK but what is put into the manufacturing process
is not OK.

You are welcomed. Stick to what works for *you* and pay less attention
to those 'controlled' studies whose scientific character is far from
being perfect.
