I recently came down w/ pulsatile tinnitus after taking some medicine
for allergies. I had no sleep for 2 nights, it was unbearable...I
could hear nothing but my pulse in my left hear. The only thing that
helped was listening to music on some headphones. I did notice I could
stick my finger in my ear and at a certain spot, the sound would go
away.
A few days later, and a dr.visit explaining there was nothing he could
really do, but give it timeto go away. They recommended I get a clock
that played sounds to take my mind off of the sound. We all know that's
next to impossible.
I went to Wal-Mart and purchased some ear plugs. I have discovered
that placing a foam earplug in your ear, at a place that's not too far,
it will actually stop the sound. I would recommend people to give it a
try. It's annoying only hearing out of one ear, but it's WAY better
than hearing a thumping. I hope this helps at least one person.

There are few tinnitus conditions that can be helped by ear plugs. One is
hypermobility of the cilia of the inner ear.
Ask your doctor is taking aspirin would benefit you.

I sometimes get pulsative T in my left ear. It is more bothersome that the
continuous T in my right ear when it comes, but it never stays. When I push
my finger in my ear, it often helps it when I am pressing with my finger.
Somebody told me that pulsative T could be the result of high cholesterol
and circulation improves it. I started drinking palmegranate juice, but
then this makes my right ear T go away. I'm not sure if it helped the
pulsative T in my left ear or not.
