Hi,

I have a pretty strong high pitched tinnitus in my right ear already.  My
left ear does things from time to time.  When I yawn, I hear a ringing in my
left ear that is reasonably strong.  I have heard some theories about
grinding teeth causing tinnitus, and I am wondering maybe there is some
connection and maybe there is something I can do if this is the issue.  Any
suggestions?

Grinding teeth is another sign of tension in the neck muscles. That is
what causes most tinnitus.

About 4 years ago, my dentist said that my teeth were rounded, which is a
sign of grinding teeth.
I can buy a mouthpiece at the pharmacy that prevents teeth grinding.  Do you
think this might help?

FWIW my dentist said I was grinding my teeth at night.  He supplied a 'soft'
tooth guard which I wore at night for some months.  It made no difference to
my tinnitus.

Your mileage may vary...
