Thanks for your reply. So how do I get rid of this fluid? I just
discovered this the other night when I tried "massaging" my ears to
help reduce T. To my amazment it worked!!! I massage under the ear on
the tender indent point...pulled my ears, massaged upper
ears...everywhere, as well as my jaw (I do have impacted widom teeth on
the bottom), and my T was reduced noticeably...maybe as much as 50%.
I USED to get crackling when I raised my voice to yell but not anymore.
I just have that squishy sound like you described by pressed on the
right ear. I have T in both ears, but it's worse in my left ear.
The homeopathic products was referred by an actual person who had
theirs cured. I will take it for 3 weeks and post about it. I'm not
optimistic about it either but for $7 I couldn't refuse.

I used to do that, too, when fluid was bugging me. Your doctor should
be able to see if you have a blocked tube with a tympanometer. What
helped me was antibiotics if it was infected, with decongestant, like
pseudoephedrine to dry it up. Perhaps along with an anthistamine if
it's due to allergy; I use Zyrtec, but Tavist is very drying, too.

Don't yell! :-)

That's what the seller counts on.

It may not be fluid. You may be pressing or displacing the eustachian tube.
Probably best to leave it alone, more you massage, the more its like rubbing
your eyes too much.

Murray, how should he proceed in having it evaluated?

Ok i'll stop touching it...I really have no need to anyway, I was just
curious why this happens with my right ear and not left. Anyway, if I
don't touch it everything is fine. It's just dealing with the T -
mostly at night, but actually it doesn't really bother me all that much
but i'm a curious person by nature, and believe there is a cure for
this condition.
BTW - has anyone ever had their tinnitus cured...I mean I have heard
that after many years it sometimes just goes away on its own??

Mine is back to negligible most of the time, and completely absent much
of the time, if I keep salicylates and carbs low, and use antibiotics
for the causative infection.

What is salicylates?
I eat an extremely clean and healthy diet. I'm pretty sure it's noise
induced (loud music)...but sometimes think it's from my impacted wisdom
teeth because I did some tests that I found online....such as pulling
chin, pressing forehead, etc. and it makes the T louder and change
sound. Not sure if it means anything.

It's found in foods, you can google up a chart on food salicylate
content. Aspirin is a salicylate and is noteworthy for causing or
worsening tinnitus, for example.
> I eat an extremely clean and healthy diet.
If it's a highly glycemic diet, it may be cranking your tinnitus higher.
Higher insulinogenic diets are associated with higher levels of
inflammation in the body.

I think all of us can change our tinnitus with some or all of those
methods; they're not exactly diagnostic.

An ENT doctor can see if it a fluid condition or something else. But right
now I think the area is irritated from the rubbing and massaging like the
eye is rubbed too hard. He can try Clear.ease to reduce inflammation and
swelling.

I don't think it makes sense to recommend that product or any other
until he knows what he's got.
I doubt the rubbing has caused his problem, in all probablity, he rubbed
as a result of the ear discomfort.

msamson11975@yahoo.ca - 31 Mar 2006 03:08 GMT
Actually, there is no discomfort. I only started rubbing because I
heard that massage might be good for the T. As I was rubbing I noticed
that in my right ear when I pushed up there was a squishing sound but
not in my left.
Sooooo....I really have no "problem". Unless, this sound in my right
ear (when I press on it) is a reason to worry or go see the ENT?? He'd
probably just say, "well, don't do that then". Hahahaha...
I received the Tinitus homeopathic pills today and started taking
them...will keep you informed although i'm really expecting absolutely
nothing.
msamson11975@yahoo.ca - 09 Apr 2006 17:47 GMT
Just as I suspected, after taking these pills (the entire tube) there
has been no success. At least they were cheap.

What about Bora Bora root, picked by young maidens in the moonlight?
Remember that comes with a guarantee.
It is guaranteed to work as well as any placebo.

Is that homeopathic? I thought it had enough of the original ingredient
in the preparation to drive weaker men wild! ;-)
