Any genius's around here ?

Okay here it is.

I hear okay when I have earphones on.

When I take the earphones off , my right ear kind of echoes the sound.
Its like its catching a harmonic...something in my ear is
reverberating the sound.  - especially higher pitched voices ( like my
wife !)

I went to a hearing specialist and had my ears checked out. The doctor
sais my eardrum is okay and no answer for my condition. ( i.e. I
should not be able to hear okay with earphones on if I can't hear okay
with earphone off)

Now I do play (used to play ) extremly loud music, however, I never
had any problems with ear aches or any warning until 7 weeks ago.
A girl was talking at the far end of the office and I heard her voice
sound like tit was coming from  an AM radio right inside my ear.

Has anyone ever heard of a phenomenum such as this?

I am scheduled to have an MRI. Maybe I have an alien implant.
I'm really not trying to be funny.
