According to the Bible, Jesus, while being nailed on the cross, cried
out "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? <Why art thou so> far
from helping me, <and from> the words of my roaring?(Psalms 22:1).
>From the above quotations, there can be only 3 interpretations:
(1)God, regardless of His all loving and caring nature, did not give a
damn how His son had suffered for whatever celestial reasons?
(2)The cry on the cross, prolific as it was, did not come from Christ
himself but from someone who had committed a terrific amount of sin
such as having betrayed Christ.
(3)Jesus was suffering from tinnitus and as a result was unable to hear
from His father clearly.
I personally would pick (2) and subscribe to a theory that points to
the man on the cross being someone other than Jesus.
(Psalms22:6)
But I<am> a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the
people.
Jesus would not have called himself 'a worm', or 'no man', or a
'reproach of men', if he had believed what he had done on earth had
been a mission from God.
In this prophetic Psalm, the cry from the cross fits the character of
the betrayer rather than the betrayed. If my deduction were correct,
Christ did not die on the cross, did not use His blood to clean us, but
simply bestowed upon us the 'way' or the principle of life from which
we as humans obtain our salvation. Unfortunately, the UN-intellecual
redneck American missionaries who are going everywhere to preach the
gospel, stress to the simple folks of the non-Christian world that
salvation is not possible without having to go through Jesus himself as
a diety. When the association is made between the gate to heaven on
the one hand and Christ as a diety entity on the other, the principle
of 'way' has remained undiscovered.
In conclusion, Christ did not suffer from tinnitus and let us forget
about Eastern Holiday as Christ did not die and then get resurrected
again.
