As a musician I got obssesed with the tones of my tinnitus and last
morning I was doing all the worst and unwanted from us: to be in a
quiet room listening my tinnitus for a while and i noted all this
details, also i think i could be a good exercise to everybody and I´ll
tell you why later:

I have three tones in my right ear, that´s the one i suffer from
tinnitus mainly but in my left ear i have sometimes other tones that
maybe could be and sometimes the blood stream when i´m doing some
exercise for example.

Ok here´s the most interesting part:

I got the notes of the three tones and seems to be in this order from
lower to hight tones:

E , A# and F#

the E is a clear sound very low I can only hear when i´m concentrated
on it

the A# tone is the one that disturbs me more that the others cause it
have a hissing

and the F# is a very high hissing sound that mixes with that note that
it´s even higher than the last F# on a piano for example.

what i found interesting and that´s why i recommend doing this
exercise is that after trying it and cause i was still keeping the
tones on mind i turned on my PC and guess what?, all the tones are
generated by my computer!, the monitor makes the F# and the other tones
comes from inside the cpu, so i think my main problem is comming from
some type of stress mixed with an allergy that made me more sensitive
to what i hear and due to my congestion I can´t relax my ears
correctly from one sound to another...

what do you think, you should give a try.

That is very interesting. I used to hear 2 sounds if I played one note
on a piano. I never checked them but I think they were a minor third
apart.

BUT!!!!  can you please stop focussing on the sounds ???
It is not going to get you anywhere.

Instead start focussing on the body. Where is the tension in the body?
Unfortunately it is possible to have tension and not be aware of it.
It happened to me. Several people told me I had tension, but 15 years
ago I could not make the connection.

That is why I suggest that people have a massage. At least that will
relieve the tension. You will also be informed where the tension is.

Then you will be motivated to do something about it.

a minor third?, a little sad but I think that is much better than an
Augmented Fourth! Lol that´s what I hear, and I want to stop focusing
on it of course.

I always been warned about the tension and I´m exactly on that part on
not being aware where is the tension, i usually have contrated my
shoulders but I try to get them relaxed as soon as i note it but a good
massage I think will be the best solution to find something to feel
some change in my body, and also some vacations! cause i dont have
vacations since 3 years ago.

merry christmas to eveybody ;)

Tension takes a long time to build up in the body, probably years.
Just loosely shrugging the shoulders is not going to do it in the long
run.

If you were really dirty (which I'm sure you are not) you would not
loosely run your hand under running water and expect to get clean. A
long sahower or hot bath is needed.

So for long standing tension something stronger is needed. The first
port of call is a trusted massage therapist. If the massage hurts it
means the tight muslce has been found. On a relaxed muscle it does not
hurt.

Elly, while a massage therapist would be nice, what do you think of
personal electric massagers when time/money don't allow the former?

Very nice and pleasant. I have one too. But it doesn't do the same
deep massage that a therapist would do.
