I do sometimes. May be due to caffein. Coffee amplifies my tinnitus
straight away, say within a few mins and last about half an hour.
Strange. Diet coke gives me a little louder tinnitus, but I am addicted
so I don't complain about it.

If the Diet Coke is one of the pleasures in life for you
savour & enjoy. Denying yourself that pleasure would probably increase
your anxiety level which will kick up yer T more so than the Diet Coke
would. Yup, no brainer as far as I'm concerned.
Chocolat, coffee etc. (whatever has caffeine in it) doesn't bother me
in the least. In fact, it doesn't for most people.
Enjoy,
Bart.

Actually, my breakfast composes of 2 cans of diet coke and a packet of
chocolate! No, I am not overweight (yet!).
