This link was sent to me this morning.
I have no opinion on the subject - simply passing it on as
information.

Sept. 22, 2005 -- A medication used to treat alcohol dependence may
also help treat ringing in the ears.

Campral has never been tested before for noise or ringing in the ears
(known medically as tinnitus), write Andreia Aparecida de Azevedo, MD,
and Ricardo Rodrigues Figueiredo, MD.

This has been discussed thoroughly on TSMB.

I keep being intrigued by this stuff. I also happen to love beer.
Should I decide to try this, and considering what the stuff usualy is
used for, would it make my enjoying a beer go away? Considering T don't
bother me, and given a choice I'd pick a cool one any ol' time. And oh
yes, I'm definitely being serious.
Bart.
