HE has had ENOUGH of all today's trendy irreverence of HIS name, idolatry to
Mammon, shameless co-habiting outside marriage, disgusting fornication,
adultery, and other depraved practices. Never was there so much sin on the
Earth!

And I also suppose he has had enough of sanctimonious, self-righteous
reverends who actually think they know what S/he thinks and wear their
intolerant beliefs on their sleeves, all the better to hammer others.

Years ago I was a student in the US. There was once a religious
exhibition in the campus. I still recall a particular kind of set-up
in which the scriptural teachings were hung on wall and there was no
one there to interpret the teachings for anyone. That is to say, each
person was there to read the scripture and make up his/her mind as to
how his/her life should be led. I think this kind of set-up was the
least institutionalized of all and thus most spiritually nourishing.

Let's have a cheer for Satan! She sounds like more fun, anyway.

Sounding more fun is no basis for giving a cheer to a person or
anything. The Nazi put humans into ovens in the second world war and
the people that did it felt a lot of fun too. Does that mean you give
a cheer to the Nazi?
While Rev Byrne seems to have interpreted the Bible in ways he sees
fit, you have understood Satan in ways you see fit too.

Well, isn't it just like a man to say Satan is a woman? Harumph!

I know how hard you've been trying to connect with Him. He told me He
was going to keep ignoring you until you can be nicer to your fellow
children. He says you're still being a total condescending jerk even
after all that he's tried to show you. He says get humble and be nice
or your life is going to continue on as it has. He said it's not His
fault so quit blaming Him and threatening the other children with His
powers. His powers are not yours to brandish.

God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts. Jesus said that if they
cannot contain, it is better for them to marry.(paraphrasing) He
didn't say that they are disgusting demon spawn who are doomed if they
don't marry. He said "It is better." Being practical and all. "Judge
not lest ye be judged."
Why do so many Christians ignore the things that Jesus actually
said in favour of what other people in the Bible said?
I suppose he should have just struck the woman at the well with
lightning too, since she was a fornicator.

You are so right on! Christ is a God of love! When he met the woman
at the well, he told her she had 5 husbands...to her surprise of
course, but Jesus did not go on to condemn or criticize her for what
she had been doing. Instead, he showed her the alternative of a more
spiritually enlightening way of life.
To go back to the concept of 'better'. You are right on again. But
the grass-rooted, dogmatic and UN-intellectual church-goers have
institutionalized the Bible teachings in such a way in order to suit
their own personal tastes. This kind of dogmatism can be found in
today's medical practices too...
