Best masking device is a hearing aid. So far, I have not had ot use a
"masker" on any patient.

Agreed. Especially when its audio response is tailored to especially boost
the tinnitus frequencies.
If you want actual 'masking' though, there's a free 'violet noise' audio
file for download at www.detinnitiser.com The CD on offer there is
unlikely to help you unless this violet noise also does.

You can use this site to make a CD of your tinnitus, by matching it.
You can also play this CD in your unaffected ear, match the volume and then
lower it, and "ask" your iinnitus ear to match the lowered volume from the
CD. This can work.
