Doctor changed by medication from Diovan to Diovan HCT.  The HCT is a
diuretic(sp), hyrocholorthiazide(sp), I started to get a low constant
noise in my ears and it increased.  I noted this started a few weeks
after starting the new meds, started the meds in the first of June, and
last week look up the side effects of this med and guess what........
your right if your sensitive to tinnitus (I guess I am, never had a
problem before)you may have a problem.  So I stopped taking it and went
back to the old Diovan and the noise is almost gone.  Hope this help
others.  It was driving me crazy, had to wear a sony walkman to mask
the noise.

hyrocholorthiazide gave me the treatment of a tinnitus 'torturing'
chamber about a year and half ago and my ENT doctors had no clue.  Even
some doctors here in AST did not believe that this med can cause
tinnitus in some people.  They even suggest it is used to treat
tinnitus.

You are very lucky to have released yourself from this torturing effect.
