blood thing ties in neatly with my T being so much worse when I lie down;

standing up. Also my tinnitus first started after I received neck massage
which (she said) would _increase_ blood flow into my head. Booze also

I tend to be the opposite then - I lie down (as long as it is on my left
side) an the T improves, and I also found a glass of cider or white wine
would dull the noise.

I don't think there are any false assumptions Steve - everyone seems to
react so differently. No wonder the medical profession is confused!

I didn't have high BP but have been prescribed a beta-blocker (low dose)
called Propranalol, when I was diagnosed with hyperthryroid, which I am
sure your doctor would let you try. Snooker players got into trouble for
taking it to steady their nerves. I think it is more commonly prescribed
for anxiety these days in the UK, because Benzo's are too addictive to risk
giving out like Smarties as they used to do years ago Not as Propranalol
helped my T though!

Ah that's it Ben... Of course.
Thanks for your redoubled efforts and my most humble apologies.

I hope you get to try Propranalol Steve and that it helps you. It should if
your theory
is correct?

LOL! Thanks I'll now take a closer look at this. In the meantime I went
back on my low-dose aspirin yesterday. After 24hrs, it's definitely
improved. Since Aspirin makes the blood less sticky (??) all the more good
reason for my 'blood theory'. Having said that I was munching on French
Bread today and it created a superb loud pulsing tinnitus with each chew, so
the muscles must have something to do with it, or the blood supply to those
muscles. I've been trying Elly's exercises, but they've made no
discernable difference yet...

I have yet to try Elly's exercises, though I'd imagine it would take a few
weeks of constant
exercising to make a difference? I am SO sorry you bit on that French bread
with horrible
consequences :( Yours could be a mix of both Steve? Blood and muscles?
I am glad
the Aspirin helps - I ain't tried that. I hope your doc will let you try
Propranalol, and that it
will help you. A low dose shouldn't hurt you, so it maybe worth a try, at
least?
