Last night I was caught outside and a MASSIVE thunderclap hit overhead
me. Loudest I have ever heard. I tried to cup my ears but too late. My
ears are muffled some today. I am very worried this may increase my
tinnitus. Can a one time thunder exposure do damage? My ears may also
be muffled a bit because I have a cold. Scared and curious.

Volume X exposure time. You had the volume but not the exposure time needed
for ear damage.
Your anxiety makes it worse. Forget about it and laugh tommorrow.

Yeah according to the "internet" thunder can be 120db. That can damage
you from one exposure,, no?

Perhaps you should not visit this group for a while and see if you
could totally forget about the experience.

I doubt there will be lasting damage.
