having suffered from bad dizziness and vertigo recently i have been
trying to take balance, dizziness exercises everday 3 times a day in
the hope of remedying my dizziness.  I was wondering what exercise
would be best for a specific situation.  Whenever i go into a shop and
look at the shelf, eitheir directly facing me or looking up, i feel
very disorinentated.  Similarly, if im in a group of people (sitting or
standing ) and i have to look around i feel the same.  what exercise
would be best practicised to try and compensate for this ??? any ideas ?

How about the advice from the NHS doctors at UK, which is supposed to
be the best in the world according to Ben?

Try any of the exercises at
http://www.nismat.org/orthocor/programs/neck/neckex.html

Can you become aware of any tension in the neck/shoulder muscles?
Are you hunched up?
Do you spend your day in a hunched shoulder position?

There are some physical therapists that specialize in
vestibular rehabilitation. You might want to try to get
a referral from your ENT (if you have one). Your
primary care physician may not be aware of this
specialty within physical therapy.
