Sorry Christian - Betahisitne can help some cases of tinnitus because it
increases the blood flow to the ears (it made my T worse!).  You need
Prochlorperazine (Stemetil) for dizziness. Betahistine and Prochlorperazine
are both available on the NHS.

cheers ben.  I have actually found that the beta ( serc etc) and
stemicil make the dizziness worse.  so, im trying the dizziness
exercises and general physical exercise as a cure.  how did you get
better ?

I tried stemetil before.  While the ones given to me by my doctor
worked beautiful, the ones I bought OTC did not.  And the doctor
refused to give me the ones he used as they are sold to him by the
government of HK.

You have to find out what works or does not work for *you*.  Talk to
THREE doctors and ask them if it is OK for you to use gingko biloba,
and talk to the ones with experience in gingko.

Sorry Christian - nothing makes me better except for lying on my left side -
honest!   I have had tinnitus for 14 and a half years now, but it has been
worse since I had in the ear aids around 3/4 years ago - I now have behind
the ear aids, and they don't help the T either :(  - and for some reason
they seemed to aggravate the T.  Years ago I suffered from sinus, and
tinnitus, and dizziness, and the doctor prescibed Stemetil for me ( I take
one 5 mg at night) and they helped that.  I think I like Elly's ideas
because I am pretty sure my tinnitus is stress-related, and therefore, my
muscles are very tense. Well, how else can I explain why the T would go
quiet when I lie on my left side?!    I am sorry Serc nor Stemetil helped
you, but there must be other drugs for you to try instead, so please go back
to your G.P. and ask him/her if you can try something else.
