I believe I got mine from a ear infection since it happened right after
my ears felt like hell for a day, and it only affects my right
ear....anyway...

whenever I wear headphones and use them, it gets permantantly worse!
Why are headphones so bad???

and I was wondering if there are any resources for treatment...I tried
the Tinnitus faq and learned about some, however I'm not sure if it's
updated....

http://www.bixby.org/faq/tinnitus.html

so far I got some other problems in my ear that need fixing and
currently working with doctors on those...so hopefully in curing that,
this will end up going away....

so far, I'm trying Niacin, lecithin, Ginko bolboa, and Zinc on a daily
basis....anybody have any comments on the effectiveness of this
combo.....how long it takes and such....

any other popular treatment methods?

The first thing you should do is ask this question from your doctor,
unless, like Christopher, you are too poor to see a doc, or have not
got any insurance in that affluent society named America, or have
visited many doctors and discovered that none of them is any good.

It seems that you are working with your doc and your doc has no
solution for your suffering.  This is why you come to us.  I very much
doubt if anyone here has a solution for you.  I suggest you change to
another doc.  I personally give a doc no more than 3 trials.

Did you have an ear infection? And was it treated?

An ear infection that causes pain can cause you to hold your head in
an unnatural position. This will set up tension in the neck muscles.

That tension is most likely still there.

Did you read http://eebee.net/TinnitusIsaPainintheNeck.shtml

The headphones could also increase the tension as you might again hold
the head in an unnatural position.
