I have been reading up on tinnitus, and thinking about my own case.
It seems to me that the origin of the ringing is nervous, having to do
with the nervous system, I mean.
I have never studied the nervous system, but I understand that nerves
have only so much ability to transmit information before they exhaust,
and need to regenerate. Am I right?
So I imagine that:
If hearing abuse has reduced the quantity of available nerve paths
ready to react, this may aggravate things.
If the nerves involved with hearing, or ones tied to the hearing nerves
become exhausted, this aggravates things.
If the whole nervous system is lacking in some way, this will cause the
weak links to 'break'.
The nerves need certain substances to maintain their 'health' which
pass through the core of the nerve, I was reading.
Is there anything we can take that favours the generation of these
substances which 'fuel' the nerves?
this may alleviate the symptoms maybe.
Reading about the Pinched nerve on the recent post... I was wondering
how acupuncture can help 'unpinch' a nerve, since it was an
acupuncturist who diagnosed the problem?
Or did I misunderstand the last part?

You are exactly right! I don't know how that acupuncturist 'unpinched'
my nerve too. But you can speak to her Dr.Zhou at 604-439-0865 here in
Vancouver of Canada. I doubt if she could communicate fluently in
English and be prepared to answering your questions over the phone.
But you can visit her in her clinic. You can relax your spine through
a chiro too.
Yes, I agree t in many cases is a nerve problem. If anything that can
regenerate nerve, time could be one of them. So a lot of massage,
relaxation...and a bit of gingko etc

The column for English is still under construction.
If at this moment, you are still having problems in 'habituation;, you
might give it a try.

I live in Italy, so it's a bit far. I'll look into acupuncture.

Do it, but remember that nothing works for everyone, and you may get
different results from different experts given the fact that this
profession outside China is not well regulated.
