Days ago, I requested the medical professionals in ast to take the
lead, and come up with posts that could make this ng more
intellectually stimulating.  I did not expect my call drew a volley of
criticism from so many participants.  I would imagine that many people
are grateful to doctors for having bestowed their precious time to
answer, and only answer, questions.  I personally would like to ask a
bit more.  We have holders of ph.d degrees in this ng that could keep
us abreast of what is happening in the frontier technology of tinnitus
treatment, we have foreign doctors or doctors outside the domain of the
Anglo-American medical establishment that could bring us ideas not
entertained in the US, and we have doctors who are practicing daily and
these doctors could share with us their day to day experience with
patients.

I am sure if they could do that, this group would involve more than
just the boring subject of habituation and long term prescription of
addictive drugs against t symptoms.  But then again, having known many
doctors and have many old schoolmates as doctors, I do realize that
many people, such as some doctors, while having the aptitude for hard
work or work of a physical nature, are incapable of intellectual
production either due to the lack of imagination or of language
proficiency.  On the basis of the latter, I do make allowance for their
inability to do more than what they have done.

So, doctors, just lurk and answer questions, if that is all you could
have done with the 'education' you have had.

So far so good. I'd love to hear from these folks too, if they're truly
out there.

If you'd left out the second paragraph (and the one below), I'm sure any
doctors lurking here *might* think about helping, if they hadn't seen
your previous activity.  But with your second paragraph, if I was a
doctor, I'd be unwilling to post, expecting attack.

Try asking nicely; your post basically says, "Please help us, you idiots".

You just don't get it, do you?  I don't usually bother to flame someone,
even as mildly as I'm doing here, but it just completely blows my mind
that you apparently think this is a perfectly reasonable request, and
that any doctors lurking here will just leap out of the woodwork after
posts like this.

I think at this point, the only way a medical professional would post
here is if you enter into a binding agreement to lurk without posting.
Or, maybe an apology would do.

If professionals for so long had needed to be requested to do so,
whatever characteristics I have assigned to them would have been true.

If there any doctors out there who were interested they would be here.

If there was any news of importance we would know about it.
This is probably the first place that would find out.

So if there are no doctors here it is because there is nothing
worthwhile to report apart from what you already know.

Thank you, Elly.  I appreciate your English sense of humor, which is
lacking in the writings of too many native English speakers these days.

I don't think it is selfish to expect doctors or other professionals to be
psychic and read your mind. They should know exactly what you want to hear
about. If they don't we can accuse them of endless babble. Sound like a plan
to you?

It doesn't sound like you have any topic in mind. You just want to sit back
and be entertained on the secret topic you are thinking about.

Ask specific questions and hope the good ones will answer specific answers.

You must have been new here.  Just go back and see the many posts I did
here. Speak for yourself!

I guess I must be new here.  I can see how impressive your record here must
be!  However, you appear to be new on Usenet though.

Were you replying to me? It was hard to tell as you included no reference
text.

Is your tinnitus bad for you? It does tend to make people angry with the
world and they blame everybody else for something.  Do you think you are
having a slight problem in this way?

Bad habit continues:"It does tend to make people angry with the
world and they blame everybody else for something.  Do you think you
are
having a slight problem in this way?..."

using 'other people' do this except you do that.... again...

Francis, habituation has probably help more people with tinnitus than
everything else that has been tried combined AND it is free.  The subject
may bore you, but everyone who used this technique to eliminate tinnitus as
a negative factor in their life is sufficiently pleased with the results as
to want to help the newbies who come here habituate their own.  Can you say
this for your black bean remedy?

You end your plea for more participation by the doctors by insulting them
once again.  Are you trying to drive them away?

An idiot wrote:"Francis, habituation has probably help more people with

Have you done a survey?  The tendency to use 'more people' on one's
side is an unenlightened way of thinking.
fyfpoon@hotmail.com - 24 May 2005 15:39 GMT
Stop using "everyone..."!  Have you done an univesal survey?  Is Ben
treated as one of "everyone...".  Am I treated as one of everyone?
Just stop pretending you have a great deal to lecture on people.  You
are a kid to me.
