Can the doctors come up with more fresh posts?

Most of the new threads in this group are started by t patients.  It is
like a class in which there are students and no teachers.  I would like
to see some from doctors or specialists.  After all, the latter are
supposed to help people but not to drive their Porche or watch TV in
their large fancy houses during the spare time.  It is only when the
medical profession is so well protected against entry that we have
specialists enjoying the monopolistic advantages of  prohibitively
expensive medical service.

We're all teachers in this class, Francis.  It's a support group, not a
 clinic.

The monopolystic advantages you mention, could you expand on that for me
please?  Might be that it''s late in the day for me but I just do not
understand what you are talking about.  Are you pissed that a physician,
after busting his or her balls for many years to become that physician,
does not deserve to enjoy the fruits of his/her many years of labor?
Are you pissed because they don't seek you out, like, track you down and
become your'e personal private Dr.Person?  Five bucks says that you have
much more "spare" time than they will ever have during their active
career.  Now, dammit, see what you have done.  My hemmorhoids are acting
up.

Just compare the countries where the supply of doctors is ample with
where the supply is quite limited, and then compare the prices patients
have to pay in these two places and the lengthes of their respective
waiting lines.
If you still had any problem, re-take econ 101 which is available for
any freshmen college student in the US.

Francis, do you think insulting the doctors who visit this group will
encourage them to post here?
fyfpoon@hotmail.com - 14 May 2005 02:57 GMT
Have I insulted the doctors?  I might have insulted *your* intelligence.

Are you drunk?
fyfpoon@hotmail.com - 14 May 2005 03:33 GMT
Why are you asking me this question?  You have to be drunk enough to
have asked me this question.

   No, you are annoying.

I asked because your remarks are similar to those which would be made by
someone under the influence of alcohol or, perhaps. a juvenile.

How do you know that you are being sober?

If you're trying to encourage doctors to post here, you're certainly
going about it wrong (you're trying to catch flies with vinegar).
Probably just too small a group, unless there's doctors that specialize
in our problem.  There are a lot of doctors on the internet who provide
advice gratis; advice is all it can be, since they can't actually see
the patient and make a complete diagnosis.

And like Susan mentions, this isn't a forum or a clinic, it's a support
group.  Which is a really useful adjunct to actually visiting a real
doctor; doesn't substitute.

I haven't noticed much support for Francis on here.  I know he/she keeps
coming up with a variety of "cures" which can be a bit annoying, but
tinnitus is even more annoying!  All Francis ever seems to receive is
nastiness, which I am sure he/she could well do without.

No, I haven't, nor you ,as you rarely ever post a positive comment, and I
can't be bothered to waste my time.  I still don't see why a "support" group
has to malign *everything* Francis says, after all, he/she is a tinnitus
sufferer

I don't know how long you've been here, but I've been posting in support
of other tinnitus sufferers for several years.  You're no one to judge
me, though if it distracts you from listening to your tinnitus full
time, please feel free.

Mostly we ignore him, but he's been so antagonistic and insulting for so
long that sometimes we just can't.

Yes, indeed!  Just like loud tinnitus, I would say? :)

Well, if you can ignore tinnitus by "habituating" then why can you not
ignore Francis?

Mostly, I do.

Once in a while I hear my tinnitus, too.

I've posted and observed this board for 10 years and Francis, including some
quite annoying characters, has surpassed them all by puking vitriolic b.s.
and casting nasty barbs at most who have been kind enough to try to help
him. When physicians and other professionals attempted to help Francis he
more nasty. Susan has shown the most patience for Francis and you have not
been around long enough to witness her positive contributions and ease at
which she will tender assistance to a newbie. Her only mistake is to respond
to him at all.

Come again??  Have you not read some of the vitrolic junk that
he has espoused??  Man, are you off base. Maybe Francis
can go to the EZBOARD tinnitus groups where he can offend
those over there.

drfrank,

I do recognize that you are a very good medical worker.  You need not
remind me through your performance one more time.
fyfpoon@hotmail.com - 16 May 2005 01:01 GMT
Truth hurts, dr?
Larry Lix - 16 May 2005 02:31 GMT
Didn't take long for somebody to show his ugly face again. Some just never
learn about life and friends.

JMC,

Some doctors are quite intellectual aside from being just a medical
worker, like Dr.Nagler, for example, while most are, without a doubt,
just workers.
