My T has been loud a lot of the time recently, however, if and when it is
quiet-ish then sleeping will immediately make it worse :(

Is there ANYTHING scientific about tinnitus? No-one has a cure, or much in
the way of real help either.

Something to do with how blood flow energisation changes in different
patches of the brain depending on the task and the arousal state ?
Now _that_ was a completely unscientific explanation. Though here's a good
site for beginners like me to learn more
http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/ehceduc.html ie. "Neuroscience for
kids".

What position is your body in when you nap?
Not the same as when you sleep in your bed.

A which moment in time would that be? When I'm on my back? When I'm on my
belly? When I'm on my left side? Right side?
Good grief.

Hello Elly :)
No matter how I lie, or sit, if I go to sleep then the tinnitus will start
again as soon as I wake up. It will go away prior to me sleeping if I lie
on my left side.

I am not sure whether you are replying to this thread or not.
But if one is napping in a sitting position that is not as relaxed as
if one is lying in bed.

Good point! I do find that the t sound becomes less intrusive after a
good night sleep as opposed to napping.

Hah! Mine is just as bad after a good night's sleep as after a nap :( I
sleep exceptionally well too, so I have to be thankful for that, I suppose.

You may want to visit a chiropractor and have your spine relaxed. See
what will happen.
