I have noticed that as I grow older my T seems to get louder and
louder.
It really is not that loud yet but I fear that as I grow old I will
lose my hearing completly and just hear the ringing.
Is this possible?
I realize this may be a dumb question but I need to know.
Thanks to the group

Try to take a tablet of gingko biloba in the morning and see if it
helps.

In my case, I am completely deaf in the affected
ear with the tinnitus. So it can happen. But in your
case, unless you're undergoing a concurrent
sensorneural/conductive hearing loss, the
tinnitus itself will not cause loss of hearing.

Many times anxiety in this condition may cause increased
awareness of your tinnitus so I'd try to relax. If
you're having problems sleeping due to your tinnitus, you might
want to pay a visit to an ENT. There are some meds
out there that can be of some benefit to help you out.
Good luck.
