Any idea?

Jim Chinnis should be the one to come in for comment.  After all, Jim
is a research scientist and should be most familiar with the
limitations of a controlled study.

You don't have to be a research scientist to read and find that those
WERE NOT CONTROLLED STUDIES.

Then state the limitations of those you think are ....

Absolutely. One only has to be able to read.

You still need to answer what is being asked by the thread, and not get
side-tracked by Susan's comment.

Then, Jim, as a research scientist, it is your duty to warn the
patients against the limitations of a double-blind study.  So far you
have not addressed yourself to this question.  I am still waiting.  OK?
List the limitations one by one and afterwards tell us how reliable a
double-blind study is given the limitations.

How about this one?

At least by now, Susan, you could not claim that you have not found
anything in English that talks about the relationship between acu and
tinnitus.

I never said I found nothing that talked about a *relationship.*

I said there was no good scientific evidence, though I had heard of some
anecdotal cases of relief.

I stand by my statements.  I think anyone who feels relief upon using
acupuncture should keep using it.

You write this as if you had some knowledge of the backgrounds of the rest
of those who post to this group.  You don't.
