Diphenhydramine Hydrocloride - About ten cents a day five nights a week for
much needed sleep-makes all the difference in the world on the loudness and
the ability to cope. Diphenhydramine Hci is not habit forming. I still
take the recommended amount for five nights a week that I need to sleep.
I've taken it over a long period of time ( longer than the label
recommends ) and have had no side affects. No hangover the next day and it
can be purchased at most any drug or Wal-Mart ( I use the generic brand )
it's very cheap and for that reason doctors probably won't suggest it. If
it wasn't for this cheap sleep aid I might not have my life back to normal
( almost ) . It works as good now as it did when I started taking it 4 1/2
years ago.

Is Benedryl.
Caution if you have a urinary retention problem or enlarged prostate or if
you have glaucoma.
It is possible that your particular chemistry responds best to Benadryl,
but, since it is over the counter, not a bad idea to try it for sleep. Try
the 25 mg first. Most persons have a bit of a hangover next day and complain
of the dryness.
