I've been able to cope for it pretty well the last 2 years. This is the
first time that I had one restles night after the other for 3+ days on a row

I can sleep though, after an hour of lying in my bed shivering (of fear, not
from the cold orso :)..

the problem is now that the t has begun to act a sa jet in my head. I gues
the good news is that it can't get any higher in frequency.. I first always
wanted it to be below 8000 Hz but I guess the 2005 fireworks were just too
much.

It's weird that when I apply pressure to my upper teeth it becomes worse in
that area. when I dangle my head on my neck (to loosen up the muscles) it
seems it gets quieter for a while.

I realise that a part of my T has to do with playing too much headphones but
Might the annoying high pitch be caused muscle tention ?

Muscle tension is certainly a good thing to consider. The restless
nights could be caused by an increase in muscle tension.

Can you go and have a massage at a trusted therapist?
This will ease the tension somewhat. It will also confirm whether you
have tension or not.
Then you can take the next step.

Have a look here and see if you can relate to anything.

thx,

forst I also want to state that , after I went to the shower its always more
quiet.. ofcourse thats because the shower is louder than the t, and the
really irritating high pitch tone is only coming up with a delay....

it was like that earlier when I wouldn't play any white noise when I went to
sleep, the sound would just get louder and louder.. but now, the T has
gotten higher and I think I have to adapt the equalizing of the white noisee
a bit so the higher noises are exited....

but in the mean while i'll look up that info you provided..

though: I don't really have somebody in my imediate environment that is both
giving massages and knows about tinitus enough. I'll have to look that up,
theres a tinitus comunity in belgium but they don't have a website:(

They don't have to know about tinnitus. They just have to know about
muscles and tension.

Once you have established that the muscle tension is there you can
take it a step further.
